// Statement
I'm truly intrigued with the idea that disciplines like Interface Design and Information Architecture have to progress even more
if we want to ensure the efficiency and integrity of information.
The quantity/quality ratio of information is not counterbalanced anymore - has it ever been?
For instance, one is more concerned
with filtering a search query instead of working with the information you were looking for in the first place.
We have access to almost any information any time. This indeed increases the quantity of information we have to handle but not necessarily the quality of information.
Looking ahead, I think to satisfy the quantity/quality ratio of information is a critical factor for significant and relevant information and thus for genuine communication.
This is why disciplines like Information Architecture and Interface Design become increasingly relevant to enable us to focus on what we really want -
sometimes just no more input at all.
For these reasons, I, as a designer, feel the necessity to adapt and invent new structures and strategies to integrate these changes into the digital life I create.
